Diabetes can be a very dangerous disease. It is a disease that is usually referred to as a silent killer, as its patient rarely show any signs and symptoms related to disease. Yet, the damage is getting severe inside. As of now, there's no cure for diabetes just yet. Diabetic people are advised to watch their diet and maintain an ideal weight so they can manage their disease better. Here are good diet suggestions so patients suffering from diabetes may stay healthy despite their condition:1. A daily dose of fruits and vegetables is essential. Fruits and vegetables play an important role in a diabetic's diet. As much as possible, they should eat fruits or green leafy vegetables for snacks or along the main meal. Stir-fried or raw vegetables are ideal. These foods are rich in vitamins and nutrients essential in fighting off bad cholesterol. 2. Starches should be consumed for energy.A diabetic's diet should include starch so that the patient would have energy to sustain his daily activities. Bread and cereal are good sources of starch. It is best consumed during breakfast to fuel up the required energy throughout the day. 3. Avoid sweets and sugary foods. If you can't help eating sweetened foods, at least do so in moderation. Restrict yourself to eating sugary food once in a week. You have to reduce sugar intake because being diabetic, your body can't break down the sugar, as it should. 4. Include soluble fibers in your diet. Studies have shown that soluble fibers slow down the absorption of glucose in the intestines. Legumes, kidney beans, and carrots are good choices of food that are high in soluble fibers. These suggestions should help a lot as far as nutrition is concerned. However, diabetic people should make it a point to visit their doctor on a regular basis so that their health will be monitored properly.
You may have seen lots of women being crazy about men with six-pack belly. I know because I am, as they look masculine to me. Almost every model I see on TV has the 6 perfect ripples and it seems all the women melt at the sight Nevertheless, don't take it personally. Every man can have six perfect ripples on the stomach. The only problem is the extra fat that mostly takes place in the stomach area. The fat covers the six-pack body of a man. I have seen some male models work very hard to achieve such good body. They have done so many exercises to get rid of the fat from their belly. I'm sure every man can do it as long as he is willing to do so.Do you want to have and show your six-pack? Don't worry, you can get rid of your fat and get your six-pack by learning the facts and finding the right way to reach your goal. But you must make sure you discipline yourself in doing it. Here are the things you should do to have a six-pack performance: 1. Avoid Fat - Avoid foods containing many fats and sugar as they will increase the number of fats in your stomach. Also, don't drink soda as it could kill your hard work. 2. Jogging - You can jog everywhere, either in the neighborhood or at the gym. Jog for at least 15 minutes and increase 5 minutes every week to get rid of your fat. . 3. Do Sit-Ups - Do your sit-ups every time you want to go to bed and after you wake up at least 50 times each (it depends on your physical strength). 4. Go to the Gym - If you are not sure about your exercise, go to the gym and find a professional trainer. Be a member of your local gym so you can be sure about losing weight and gaining muscle for your stomach. If you can do it routinely, you may see the result in one or two months. It depends on how you train your self. Those exercises, which mostly strengthen your stomach, are also important to support your spine and protect your back. So, don't ever give up doing your stomach exercises as you will get all the benefits. There are good points by doing those mentioned above. You will not only have your six-pack, but also increase your health. You will change into a real man by having a healthy and well-shaped body. Good luck with your exercise.
Handling your piercing at the beginning is the same as taking care of a little wound. It's important to take good care of you piercing, especially when the fistula hasn't formed yet. Don't wear tight or filthy clothing on your new piercing.Your hands should be disinfected before touching the piercing, after all, hands carry a lot of bacteria.Don'ts * Don't take the jewelry out in the healing period. The wound will heal better and won't close as fast when you remove the jewelry for a short while. * Don't apply any ointments on the piercing. It's best to keep the piercing as dry as possible. Ointments keep the oxygen out and will slow down the healing. * Avoid make-up, shaving cream, strong soap or perfumed stuff around your piercing. * Don't hang charms from your jewelry until the wound is fully healed. * Avoid sleeping on the piercing while healing. * Don't over clean. Cleaning the piercing wound more than twice a day is not advisable, it will slow down the healing. * Don't use band-aids on your piercing. There will not be enough air circulation and the adhesive can cause irritation. * Avoid swimming pools, jacuzzis (the warm air above the water surface harbors a lot of bacteria), lakes,... If there is sea life, motor oil or children in the water, then it is not clean enough! If you are going in water, and you doubt if the water is clean enough, then you can put a non water-permeable wound sealant on the piercing before going in. It will prevent the dirty water from getting inside the wound. Cleaning the wound afterwards will not be effective in preventing any infection! * Avoid oral contact or body fluids that are not your own! Your own body fluids like sweat are not harmful for your piercing, but you do have to clean it.Do's * Wash your hands prior to any contact near the healing piercing! * Wear clean and breathable fabrics around the area of your new piercing. Don't wear tight clothing around the piercing. * Your bedding should be clean at all time. * Leave the starter jewelry in for at least the minimum healing time. * A healthy lifestyle will help your piercing heal faster. Staying away from drugs and alcohol, eating nutritious foods and avoiding stress will show their benefits. * Take a shower instead of a bath. A bath tub tends to contain lots of bacteria. If you insist on bathing, clean the tub with a bleaching product each time before bathing, and rinse it with water. When you get out of the bath, rinse your piercing with water.Cleaning solutionMild seawater soaks are recommended (daily), they give the best results for accelerating your healing and increasing your comfort.dissolve 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt in a cup (8 oz.) of warm water. Make sure the cup is clean. Don't make the solution any stronger because too much salt can get the piercing to burn. Invert the cup over the area and soak directly for a few minutes. You can also use a cotton ball soaked in the salt water in stead of the direct soaking when the piercing is on a difficult place.Cleaning instructionsClean your piercing twice a day during the initial healing period. Don't clean it too much, it will cause irritation. Stay away from your piercing the rest of the day. Before the cleaning, wash your hands with antibacterial soap and hot water.First you have to rinse the area of the piercing with warm water to make sure the crusts that have formed are removed. Otherwise they can get into the piercing and the piercing can get infected.Cleanse the area and the jewelry with the cleaning solution. Carefully move the piercing jewelry up and down to get the cleaning solution into the piercing. Let the solution do it's work for a minute. You may bathe normally, just don't get any other products then the cleaning solution into your piercing on purpose.Rinse the piercing with running water. All of the cleaning solution must be removed. Pull the piercing jewelry back and forth real gently while rinsing so that the solution from inside the piercing is also removed.Pat the area dry with tissues or gauze. Avoid cloth towels, they can harbor bacteria. What's normalBleeding, bruising and swelling are normal, they don't point to an infection.Tenderness, discomfort are not abnormal in the first several weeks. You can feel burning, stinging or aching on the first days on and off. Itching is also very common. The secretion of a fairly liquid, whitish-yellow fluid forms crusts at the openings of the piercing. This is not pus. It contains blood plasma, lymph and dead cells. It's completely normal and indicates the healing process.Keep cleaning. If you notice anything abnormal, or the piercing gets badly infected, contact the piercer or a doctor. If your piercing secretes pus, you should go see a doctor for an antibiotic treatment. The piercing should be left in at all times to ensure the drainage of pus. If the jewelry is removed, the piercing can close and you can get an abscess... Many people experience disappointment at the lack of progress conventional medicine is able to make against their Eczema, and unfortunately most of them have no idea how much help some natural therapies can be. Ive compiled a few tips here that may help you find some natural relief.Step 1-Get Some Vitamin E Cream. As one of natures most powerful anti oxidants, vitamin E does a great job of clearing your Eczematic areas of any offending microbes or bacteria. These are the little guys that cause the itching and swelling, so to be rid of them is a real boost!Step 2-Use An EmollientAn Emollient is a little like regular moisturizer, except that its got a base of FAT. Yes fat. Gross? Well it may seem so but when you take into account that the fat layer will seal the moisture inside your skin and stop itching and cracking, it doesnt seem quite so gross huh? If you apply an emollient directly after bathing or showering, you will really be doing some good as that is when there is the most moisture available to be locked under your skin.Step 3-Get Some Blueberry Leaf ExtractThe blueberry leaves contain a form of acid, called chlorogenic acid-dont worry its not the kind of acid that will eat through your carpet. This acid has certain anti microbe agents in its make up, which means its a very effective natural anti inflammatory. Perfect to apply to the affected area when it seems like nothing else will get the job done!Step 4-Starting Packing MoisturizerAs we said, emollients are great, but they arent always super practical. Thats why it makes sense to keep a bottle of moisturizer with you all the time. That way, next time you are in the office shuffling papers and you feel your hands starting to dry out, just apply a dab of moisturizer. If you get into this habit you can really start to stop some of the worst Eczema episodes in their tracks. As youve seen, getting a step ahead of Eczema by natural means doesnt mean spending weekends in fields and eating strange concoctions-you can get great relief from the techniques Ive shown you, and you dont exactly have to change your whole life around either! Good luck!
One of the biggest concerns that I hear from adults with ADD is that they can't find a professional who really understands adult ADD. Many people begin with their primary care physician or go through their insurance company to try to get evaluated and/or treated for adult ADD. Some very lucky people do find great professionals on their first try but the majority of people sadly do not. Instead they become even more frustrated which often leads to them not getting any help for their ADD.There are some ways to find professionals who actually "get adult ADD":Online Listings: There are some websites with listings of professionals who treat adults with ADD. ADDA, the World's Leading Adult AD/HD Organization has a growing Professional Directory of people who treat adults with ADD. ADD Consults, the First And Only Virtual Online AD/HD Clinic also has a professional directory. In addition to the professional directory, Terry Matlen, MSW, ACSW also offers consultations in which she can help people find professionals.ADD Coaches: In addition to all of the other benefits people can get from working with an "ADD Coach" they can also get help locating professionals who can diagnose and help treat them. Many ADD Coaches network with other ADD Professionals around the country and the world.Word of Mouth: Try to locate other Adults with ADD who live locally. Many ADD Professionals who do understand adult ADD don't advertise their services. Many don't need to because they get plenty of referrals by word of mouth. Joining local ADD Support Groups is a great ways to not only get support but get recommendations for professionals who can diagnose and treat Adults with ADD. Adult ADD Meetups are similar to support groups and their Adult ADD Meetup Website allow for people to communicate with other local adults with ADD.
